Blog post

October Favorites

November 1, 2017

I’m terrible at keeping up with my blog. I usually post new release information and that’s it, so I thought I’d try something new for when I don’t have any new release information, excerpts, or anything book related. I’ll be doing a favorites post each month (or at least try to), to show you all of the things I’m obsessed with at the moment.

I’ll have the images linked, so you can click on any products you want to purchase or get more information on with the exception of the shows, because homegirl doesn’t know what you like to watch them on. I’m a Netflix/ Hulu junkie.

Not all of these books were read this month, but I wanted to post some of my favorite latest reads. I’ll try to do a post of my all-time favorite reads sometime this month. It’s NaNoWriMo, so I’m planning on having a busy November. Fingers crossed. I’m halfway through Dallas and Willow’s story. I’ll share some excerpts with you soon.

Scandalous by LJ Shen

Anything written by LJ Shen is pure gold. I’ve devoured all of the Sinners of Saint books.

After We Fall by Melanie Harlow

This is my current read, so I haven’t finished it yet, but so far I’m loving it.

Show Me The Way by A.L. Jackson

I started reading A.L. Jackson when she released Take This Regret years ago. If you haven’t read that book, read it now.

Sick Fux by Tillie Cole

This is a dark romance, and you’ll probably set it down and think what da fuck did I just read? I wouldn’t consider these two as one of my favorite couples, because they’re both bat-shit crazy, but I did enjoy their crazy ass ride. It does deal with sensitive subjects, so if you’re easily triggered, this might not be the read for you.

One of my favorite series EVER.

Not my favorite AHS season, but it’s still keeping my interest. It starts out slow, like some of the seasons do, but I love when it comes to the part where they start piecing everything together.

I’m a RHONJ, RHOA, and RHOBH junkie. The others, not so much.

I have shows I always watch before bed. Ones I’ve seen every episode to so they don’t hold my interest too much, but they shut off my anxiety and help me go to sleep. Cheers is one of them and what I’ve been watching the past few weeks.

I’ve wanted to try this stuff out for awhile, but it’s expensive AF. Thankfully, they started making mini-bottles so you can try them before forking out $54 dollars for the bigger bottle when you’re unsure if you’re ever going to like the product. I do. I’m weird about what I put on my skin. I look at the ingredients. I look at reviews. This Rose Gold Elixir doe make a difference. It’s thin and doesn’t make you feel greasy, something I feel like most serums do. If you’re a person who tends to have dry lips, especially in the winter, this works wonders. It’s also cruelty-free, which is a big deal to me, since I try to use only cruelty-free products.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette

I’m not a big eye shadow person, but this is my go-to when I do wear it. I also have the Too Faced Chocolate Bar, but this one is much more pigmented, which I like.

Too Face Born This Way Foundation

Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume

This will forever be one of my daily go-to fragrances.
